History

First Financial Credit Union was formed in 1936 as Teletype Employees Credit Union, to provide a place where employees of Teletype Corporation could have a place to save and borrow money. Years later, Teletype Employees Credit Union changed its name to AT&T Teletype Federal Credit Union.

In 2000, AT&T Teletype Federal Credit Union changed its name to First Financial Credit Union. That year a community charter was also obtained so that we could offer our services to the people who live or work in the communities of Skokie, Morton Grove, Park Ridge and Lincolnwood in addition to our over 70 SEG's. The credit union's Board of Directors are volunteers and members of the credit union.

Over the years, First Financial Credit Union has expanded its products and services and continued to offer competitive pricing and a structurally sound financial vehicle for its members and their families.

Membership

Membership is available to anyone who lives or works in the Villages of Skokie, Morton Grove, and Lincolnwood; or the City of Park Ridge in Illinois. Employees of over 70 businesses and organizations that have joined the growing FFCU family are also eligible for membership. In addition, membership is available to relatives (by blood or marriage) of an existing member.

How To Join

Once you're eligible for membership, becoming a member is simple. You must fill out and sign a membership card (any joint owner(s) must sign the back). We also need a clear copy of your (and your joint owner's/owners') photo ID. Finally, fill out a direct deposit form or make a minimum deposit of $5 into your new share account. Now you can reap the benefits of FFCU membership!

First Financial Credit Union is a non-profit financial institution owned and operated by its members, dedicated to providing quality financial services at the lowest possible cost with safety, convenience and the assurance of future credit union viability.
